Skill Enhancement Series

TSHA is making plans for our next Skill Enhancement Series workshop. It will be held April 9 and 10, 2010 at Tulsa Community College - NE Campus, 3727 E Apache St., Tulsa, OK.

 

Registration Form Deadline to register is Wednesday, April 7. There will be no exceptions so register early!

Friday, April 9 will be Ethical Roles in Mental Health Interpreting: A Discussion.

This will be an evening of ethical questions and problematic situations. A panel of interpreters with extensive experience in mental health interpreting and counseling professionals from the mental health field will share their experiences and will be geared up to discuss your questions. Participant discussion is strongly encouraged.

 

This workshop will be held 6:30 - 9:00 pm at Tulsa Community College in the small auditorium, Room 1603. A potential .25 Ethics/PS RID and QAST CEUs are offered for Friday night.

Saturday, April 10 will be The Ins and Outs of Mental Health Interpreting.

Have you ever wondered how to best interpret the Mental Status Examination? How about how to best protect yourself when your client has the potential for violence? And just exactly how do we interpret for a client who is face down on the mat in restraints? Is it really possible to work with the mental health professional as a team member even when we have differing standard practices? Learn about and discuss these questions and more!

 

This workshop will be 9:00 am - 4:30 pm at Tulsa Community College, Room 2623. A potential .6 PS RID and QAST CEUs are offered for this all-day Saturday workshop.

Friday workshop: $20.00
Saturday workshop: $35.00 (lunch included in cost)
Both workshops: $45.00
