Yamileth Canales

Yamileth Canales is currently the Accounting Director for TSHA, Inc.; she is responsible for managing the accounting aspects within the organization. Yamileth began her association with TSHA in 1998 as a temporary employee. Shortly after, she was offered a full-time position as Financial Administrator. One of her most important achievements was the implementation of the agency's present non-profit accounting software.

 

Yamileth's solid financial experience started at SallieMae Student Loan Servicing Corporation. Her performance was appreciated by SallieMae for her great eight years of work at the Texas regional office. Yamileth graduated from the University of Phoenix in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science in Business/Accounting.

 

In addition to her regular accounting duties at TSHA, Yamileth has becme the unofficial Spanish interpreter. She likes to keep in touch with her roots and the Latino community by performing ethnic dances from her native country, the Republic of Panama. She has also participated as a volunteer preparing tax forms with another local United Way Member Agency.
